18th century Museum replication of boys breeches. American Revolutionary War - Georgian 1760's-1810's This sale is for the pictured breeches. These Breeches were worn by my husband in his youth. Used for a British line company they are made from a white wool molten cloth and lined with osnabrig. The breeches have 5 buttons on each leg, 1 at each pocket, 1 at each corner of the fall and 3 large at the waistband a for a total of 14 small buttons and 3 large. The breeches have lacing in the back, with a total of 6 hand worked buttonholes, to accommodate a growing boy. These breeches have no pockets. The bum of the breeches is full and pleated in the back to allow room for movement and bottom of the shirt. The measurements are as follows: Waist - 26" to 34" under the knee - 11.5" length of leg - 27" Inseam 15.5"
